Caterpillar - Production Work

A collection of Caterpillar machines and equipment that I assisted with in rendering for use in marketing materials and on CAT.com. The base geometry was assembled by another team using CAD geometry and passed onto our production art team for the final pass. The scene and materials were part of our pre-established production art pipeline using 3DS Max and V-Ray.

My basic responsibilities for this production art pipeline included migrating the final geometry into an existing scene, applying V-Ray materials from our library, and ensuring the final render pass was correctly set-up for each machine. Additional responsibilities that were addressed on a per-project basis included fixing broken geometry, remodeling entire components, UVW mapping existing geometry to fix materials, as well as developing entirely new V-Ray materials to add to our final library.
